hello to all,im new on here and have a problem which i hope you can help me with.my computer i have is a acer aspire kitted out with the following hardware:
intel duo core [email protected]
2gig ram
250 gb harddrive
a stupid intel946gz express chipset graphics.

what i want to know is can i get a better graphics card,would i have to change my motherboard to do this?can you recommend some graphics card which are not to expensive,forget to mention im running vista..thanks.

What motherboard do you use? or model number of your aspire

Does it have pci-e slot(s)?
 
Well, looks like your machine has available PCI Express X16 graphics card support.so

You can get a wide variety of dedicated graphics cards..

Next question...what is your budget for a graphics card?
 
I think on that budget you'd be looking at an ATi 3870 or nVidia 9600GT! Id save abit more and get yourself a 4850 for around £110! It'd be worth it :)
