I have a Compaq Persario Sr1214nx, yes i know old p.c..

At this Point i have upgraded multiple things

a 500w power supply over the original 250w

2gb of ram instead of 512mb

installed dual dvd+r DL rw drives

and installed vista 32bit..which may be a downgrade..

anyway my next thing is a graphics card seeing as there is no vista compatible update to my mobo onboard graphics card

i was looking at this

i was wondering if 1 it would be compatible with windows vista 32bit and if so, if it would run World of Warcraft well
 
Do you have a pic-express card slot on that motherboard? What kind of "500W Power Supply" is it, big difference between a quality and a china brand 500W.
 
well by his choice of video card iam guessing he only has a pci slot. So the graphics card that he picked out is pretty decent for a pci slot card.
 
well actually I have looked up his compaq, and it has one agp x8 slot available. So I think he could probably get a better agp card than a regular pci slot card

While that card looks sweet I'm on a semi-tight budget, so my current limit is about $75 for this graphics card seeing as my wife sees it as waste of money since I have a ps3 and 360 for gaming but the main games I play is WoW and in the future diablo III, I greatly appreciate the help, and I'm not the most hardware tech savy person I'm big in software, so now looking at both pci and agp cards what would be the best one that is compatible with my computer and at the same time with windows vista 32 bit via pci or agp, and don't mind the power supply, ill upgrade that if need be and just lie to her and say its failing
