hey i know you must read these all the time but im really stuck, i have just bought a new comp for 399 its a medion, im lookin for a new graphics card i dont think it has an agp slot which are normally brown right? but i think it have an advandced pci i think anyway im not very good with the lingo lol, anway for the simulator im trying to play i need •Nvidia Geforce 6800 Series, ATI Radeon X850, S3 Chrome 430 GT or better (min 128 MB VRAM) but i dont have agp slot so was just wondering what people think is a good 1 tht will run my 2009 sim and is pci not agp?? and i dnt really want to spend more thn 70 quid for a second hand 1, anythoughts?
 
If its a new system it will have a Pci-e slot,what card you should get depends on your budget...what is your budget and what currency?

Also note that you may need to upgrade your current power supply to handle a new graphics card :)...so thats an added expense.

what model is the Medion? o you have any links to it?

For that price range Id get something like this

But im still thinking you will need to buy a new Power supply to run it as the Power supplies they give you in Pre-built systems like those are only realy good enough to power what it has currently installed

You will need to open the side of your case and tell us what Power suppy details are on the side of it,The specs of that system on Argos does not tell you much at all :cool:

If you do need a new Psu,something like this will be okay.

i have found this on ebay for around $70 nVIDIA GeFORCE 6 Series 6800 GT PCI 900-10211-0004-400 (370393904340) or is the radeon one you found better for gaming simulators ect, the current graphics card i have is a nvidia geforce 7100 / nvidia nForce 630i

if it will work is the pci e slot white or blue as i have a blue next to power supply the white 1 the same size then a bigger white 1 then a tiny white 1 :-), do u think it will work? and on the power supply it says, ac input-230,240v/5a,50,60hz..... dc output 400w, :-)
