Graphics Help

I just bought a laptop with these specs:

15.4" widescreen display, 1024 mb ddr ram, ati radeon xpress 200m with pci express graphics up to 128mb shared memory, 60gb hdd.

First i want to know what the graphics card is equal to in terms of geforce and nvidia as these are all games say on the back. And secondly will star wars knights of the old republic 2 work and if so what settings? cos i don't want to buy it and it won't work.

If anyone can answer any of the questions thanks.

it'd probably be around the specs of a radeon 9550 or 9600pro at best... its not very good my friend had it and it wouldn't play doom3 on better than lowest quality lol...
i think the best laptop gpu you can get is the go 7400....
of course there are more of desktop solutions modded into laptops like go 7600 and go 7800 and go 7900... but those use up tons of power and create lots of heat and really arent practical unless plugged in..
so basically, you got some good graphics for the amount of laptop life it'll give you... this is why i stick with desktops lol.
btw what type of processor does it have? and at what frequency?

it's an amd sempron 3000+

are the radeon 9550 or 9600pro new or old and are they any good.

the main thing that i want to know is whether the star wars game will work or not.

it probably will work, but youll have to knock down all the settings i spose, as far as laptops and games are concerned, youre gonna need a dedicated chip if youre gonna ply anything any good, like my laptop as seen in siggy plays doom3 native res all high sets with 40-60fps, in fact, as far as graphics and laptops go its pretty good for the price, they radeon 9000 series is pretty old, not sure entirely, like 2-3 years probs
