Graphics problems....

I have a sony viao desktop with a P4 3.2 prossesor with Hyper threading... I also have a gig of ram and a NVidia GeForce FX 5200 in my system. It runs beautifully.... but i installed Halo for PC and it Drrrraaaaagggggsss. I mean i have to put it on the lowest possible graphics setting to make it even playable. I put it on a pretty high graphics setting and my cpu usage hit the roof. This system should not be doing this. What's wrong?

The 5200 is a pretty sorry card. If you want the eye-candy, you'll need a decent graphics card.

Halo depends on a lot of gaming features (textures, shading and such...) that only the graphics card can really do... A GeForce 6600 or 6800 and higher should be able to run that game without too much of a problem at all, especially with your other hardware.
