Great Overlooked Games

I've thought about getting Beyond good and evil for a couple years.. I finally did for the PC a couple months ago. Terrible port. Graphical issues, unoptimized, game KILLING bugs!!! So frustrating, I hate you ubisoft.

Silent Hunter 3/4 (you dont see a LOAD of people playing those )

edit:

Oh, oh! Evil Genius 2
Did they make a 2? I have Evil Genius, I liked it for the most part, it got tedius towards the end but it had amazing music. :D

I'm playing SH4 right now but even at version 1.4 it's still got some rather obvious bugs :(

For the most part, I agree. They used to be pretty good for releasing solid games, now they are milking franchises for all they are worth and rushing deadlines. SH4 was completely unplayable at release, it was just rediculous.

No one lives forever, forgot about them - great games! And starship troopers, that was the one with jetpacks? I only had the demo but damn!

I'd add the classic Road Rash to the pile - awesome game, and I don't think Deus X gets enough credit these days, although it did at the time. Brilliant game.

Heroes of Might and Magic 1-3, played'em all and I just love them! Well, the graphics AND gameplay kinda sucked on the first two games of the series, but HOMM3 was just...great. Sadly overlooked games IMO...

I have Heroes 3, amazing game, so much fun!

I played the latest one, at a friend's house, didn't like it that much, I think 3D has killed the game ;)

I agree with this. I have so many friends who think graphics > gameplay, but I am the complete opposite.

To this day I believe Rogue Spear on PC (sequel to the original Rainbow Six) is was the #1 game in terms of skill scaling. That game had the absolute perfect blend of speed, reflexes, and movement scaling I have ever seen. Btw, I was Mishkin of clan ISSO if anyone played it in multiplayer.

It isn't really overlooked, it was THE multiplayer fps back in the day, but a lot of ppl tend to forget how good it really was. They need to bring back the Rogue Spear style of multiplayer with modern graphics, any of the newer Tom Clancy stuff is a joke.
