I have IM accounts on YAHOO,MSN and AIM(urghhh) and I was delighted when I started using LINUX that GAIM messenger could handle all three at once. since coming back to M$(tail between legs) I have now discovered an equivalent in Windows yay :) It's called Trillion and it s really good because it just....works!!

yeah, there's GAIM for windows too, or shud i say PIDGIN or whatever it's called, and thats TRILLIAN for you..lol
 
Trillian is alright, but it only works with like MSN messenger 3.something, and the others aren't quite up to date either. Its alright, but since i really only use MSN i just use it seperately.
 
pidgin is glitchy

for some reason, after a while, it will show you as being available, even when you turn on an away message

i used to use GAIM all the time, but the last few versions have a lot of problems. i now use trillian basic from my u3..
 
That site you linked to is a little shady. It's odd how they misspelled the name of the messenger, which is Trillian, a messenger that I have been using for probably 6-7 years now. The actual site by the creators of Trillian is http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/

It's a pretty good messenger. I like how it doesn't have any adware like AIM or YIM, and it's also pretty light on resources for being able to run 5 clients at once. It's buggy, though, no question about it, but I still prefer it way over any of the other IM clients.

I think a mod removed it, as it wasn't a legitimate site for Trillian... no telling what you could be downloading in addition to what they were showing you.

I feel embarrassed now:o:o i think i know what happened..... after i copied the link to my post, I edited my comment by deleting some text and i think i backspaced a little too far-wiping out some of the link text and probably half the search string within it:o WHOOPS. (long day,kids screaming,no sleep)
