Group Policy Object Backup

I think I might be having to replace a hard drive in my server. I need to back up 2 different group policy's so I dont have to reconfigure then on the new install....... How can I save these group policy objects? server is running windows 2003 server.

If you backup the SYSVOL directory (default C:\SYSVOL), the GPOs are stored in there. The SYSVOL directory is replicated across domain controllers in Active Directory.

If you look under the listed shares in the Computer Management snap-in, it will show you exactly where it's located.

Right click My Computer -> Manage -> Shared Folders -> Shares
