Grub Error 22......

I had Ubuntu, dual-boot installed on my hard drive and deleted the partition it was on. On the next boot, something called Grub v.1.5 would try to load and I would get something like 'error 22' and I wasn't able to get into the XP OS. The only way I could fix it was to re-installed Ubuntu. How would I go about removing this 'Grub' thing.......

BTW, my XP OS, is fine but the Grub error wouldn't allow it to load.....

1. Boot up with your Windows XP disc.
2. Select the option Recovery Console.
3. At the prompt, type fixmbr (or try fdisk /mbr if fixmbr won't work)
4. Restart your computer.
