GT 540M Problem

I recently just purchased an ASUS N73SV-XC1 from amazon. Here is the link-

It works great except there is one problem. The video card always uses the integrated Intel HD GPU instead of the Nvidia GT 540M GPU. I've tried adding all the exe's to the whitelist and updated all drivers. None of which made a difference. I have searched and found multiple forums with the same problem but no one has an answer. If anyone has any idea what the problem could be please let me know.

it should do that yes, if it was to run the gt540 the entire time then your battery would die way faster.

Did you put your games in the Nvidia control panel-> Manage 3D settings->list?
In Nvidia System monitor you can see your GPU activity.
