I am going to get a graphics card and have been trying to decide which one. I am going to get the GeForce gt8800. I only have one question. SHould I get the 512mb or the 1gb one.
 
I would go with the 512MB, as it's about $60-$100 cheaper.

BTW, it's called the 8800GT, not the gt8800.
 
Thanks. I keep changing my mind, would the gts or gt be better. I have read things that say they are the same but don't know. I would like confirmation.
 
gt is supposed to be the best bang for the buck right now, but you will get increased performance if you shell out more for the gts, although many say it isnt worth it

An easy way to tell is that the 8800GTS (G92) is only available in 512MB versions, where as the previous version was available in the 320MB and 640MB.
