Rockstar Games has officially pushed back the release of Grand Theft Auto IV for the PC, settling on a two-week delay and a new December 2nd release date. The date confirms what was reflected at retailer listings updated earlier this week.

Bad news!

* OS: Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3
* Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz, AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4Ghz
* Memory: 1.5GB, 16GB Free Hard Drive Space

The game is a let down anyway, don't buy it. Instead buy Fallout 3 or Left 4 Dead and then wait for RE5 beginning of the year.

I still want to buy it, it looked really good on the consoles and I like the GTA series.

Been playing GTA since it was an over head 2D game. GTA4 was a big let down and boring. I don't want to spend hours entertaining friends on a video game and if I don't do it be penalized story and possible quests.

The game is boring, drawn out and extremely repetitive. I didn't even finish the game and traded my copy back in.

To each their own, but to me it was a crappy game, or at least extremely over hyped.

I'll still buy it even though people are telling me not to.

It's a great game/series, I have it for the 360 and it's really fun, especially the multiplayer.

Not capable of reading the system requirements posted at the top of this page?

Seriously though a freaking quad-core for recommended and such a low GPU requirement? Seriously nuts. Let alone the 18gb size LOL. Hope its worth all this.

no, i did. but its recommended requirement. that doesnt mean it would be able to max out the game, would it? and btw, i appreciate the impoliteness.

Your right I am sorry.

Still the game isn't out so no one could even tell you that. Personally if thats the recommended...then I have 2 thoughts.

1. That is the max setting.
2. 45nm 3.2ghz+ quad-core and 2GB 4870 card might get you there. I mean Crysis wasn't even near quad-core requirement and people still can't max the settings at 1900 resolution with AA and all that crap.

Personally there is to big of a jump between minimum and recommended I think your PC will do just fine. I think my PC will do remarkably well.

alright, thanks ;)

Lol no I mean, 8600, is listed as recommended, when 7900 is the same performace as one.

I was meaning to say, the 8600 could have been incorectly spelt, meaning a 9600gt is recommended, which would be more appropriate.
