GTA SA Resolution Issues...

I just started having this problem on my comp. (laptop) all the sudden, when i clicked on the gta san andreas icon, it started up, but the screen looked like the game was overflowing... the border of the game was off the visible screen. i changed the res settings and then it crashed to the desktop. now i cant even start it up. every time now, the game won't boot. the optical drive would spin and make loud noises (like normal) and my comp would work hard, but before it brought up the game screen, it all stopped. ive tried running it many more times, and still, no game. i tried uninstalling it, then reinstalling it, with no luck... what should i do?

Try going to your My Documents folder and find the folder labeled something like "SA User files". It will contain all your saved games along with another file that I don't know the name of but it's pretty noticable. Simply delete that and run the game, it will restore the resolution to 1024 x 769. Hopefully that will work.
