Okay, another one :D

GTA 4 shadows look bad. Why is that? Is it my pc problem or its a game?

PhenomII x4 955 3.2Ghz
Corsair XMS3 2x2=4gb
1TB WD GreenPowa :D
MSI Clyclone HD4890
1152x864 resolution
And i set everything on max and have more then 50fps, but still shadows are looking very awfull... :(

Any Fixes? And I don't know anything about ATI drivers or GTA4 patches, i'll try that in a few days later. :)

BTW: X-mas is coming!! :D

GTA4 is prgrammed very poorly for PC; it is much more demanding than it needs to be because it is a port from consoles, which it is optomized for. That may be why, even though you have a decent system.

Also what PSU do you have? if it is an off-brand or weak on then you will often see dodgy shadows, lines across the screen stuff like that because your GPU can't get the power when it needs it

My shadows also look horrible but that's just how it is. And no AA makes it even worse. If you can then just play it on it's highest settings, the shadows are acceptable then.

The shadows look shite on anything lower than high, and with at least 6 density. they do take a chunk of performance too, and load time go up. GTA4 is the first one to be poorly coded for pc, and it's a shame.

Okay, thanks for answers and everything. I can play at best graphics with no problem, but shadows make everything look stupid. But that will be ok. Maybe Rockstar will make some kind of fixes or something like that. So we have to wait.

Thanks again,

-Wooxie.
