gta4 is running slow for me the game seems to be in slow motion/laggy

You know I find it total bull that a game is made that can't be maxed out even with high-end parts.

Just once id love to see a game that can be maxed with current hardware vs 10 years down.

The problem must be something personal, because I was able to play the game on High with Max Distance around 30 with my E8400, and it was extremely playable, and it looked great, and now that I got a Quad, I'm playing on Very High and the Max Distance is higher than 30, and it's playing better.

Now is that 30fps average? Because for me I'd say the average I get is around 25-35FPS, however it dips down to 15FPS at times but also upwards of 60FPS+. Honestly though, you shouldn't need to have a computer like mine or yours to play this kind of game...

I don't know what the exact FPS is, but it's playable, I won't play a game that is choppy or has noticeable dips, but it looks and runs the same/better than the 360.

I dont understand why people are getting such problems,i run it at 1680x1050 on medium (limited by 512mb vid ram) and it runs very nice,no lag and usualy get around 37-39fps.

Maybe its the drivers for your ATI X2 Omega to why your framerates isnt so good at times?

my drivers are gfx drivers are fine and ive put my res down to 1080 but its still laggy slow

ive tried lowering res to 1080 still the same its like its in slow mo/lag also ive tried updating my drivers to different ones links below

basically i think the game sucks big time and my system isnt that outdated my rig runs COD WOW on max res perfect

whats your frame rate? im getting an average of 30-40. of course, my vehicle density is very low.

ive uninstalled it it wasnt playable, dunno my framerate how do you know that?
