Hello

So currently i am looking at 2 graphics cards, the GTS 450, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814261079&cm_re=gts_450-_-14-261-079-_-Product

and the GTX460 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...088&cm_re=gtx460_palit-_-14-261-088-_-Product

My question is, How much of a difference is the 460 from the 450?

Will the 450 be able to play most newer games on at least minimum settings with no graphics lag? (I don't care about high end graphics, simply smooth game play) such as Black ops and possibly Crysis 2?

I don't know about Crysis 2 though I did see a bench comparison for it somewhere on google that had all Nvidia cards from the 8800 up to 590. I have played black ops on my 8700m gt in my laptop fine. I have also used one 295 with sli off (=gtx 260) no problem again (on max I believe). So both would be a fine choice. The 460 would be the way to go but nothing wrong with 450 either. If high-end graphics aren't a concern you will plenty happy with a 450.

*Not the one I was thinking of but it should give you an idea - http://www.geforce.com/#/Optimize/Guides/crysis-2-benchmarks

The 2 cards you posted will have little difference, because the 460 isn't any 460, is is a 460 SE, affectionately referred to as Slow Edition. It is a cut down 460.

I would take neither the 450, nor the 460, nor the 5850 that daisy posted. Instead, I would take a 6850:

is cheaper than the others after rebate, however if you can't afford the initial price before the rebate:
