Shane Super Moderator Staff member May 16, 2009 #6 I would get this instead http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125267 $159 after $20 MIR and you get free game! I would have your psu checked out by the guys here to make sure it can provide enough power for that card.

StrangleHold Moderator Staff member May 16, 2009 #8 GTX is the better card. A GTS 250 is just a renamed 9800GTX+
Bodaggit23 Active Member May 17, 2009 #9 Any GTX card should outperform the GTS 250, although the 250 does have a higher fill rate than a GTX 260. The 250 also has only a 256-bit Memory Interface, the GTX's have 448-bit and more. http://www.nvidia.com/object/graphics_cards_buy_now.html Last edited: May 17, 2009

bomberboysk Active Member May 18, 2009 #10 The GTX260(standard, not the 216core) and GTS250 are actually quite similar in performance, until you crank up AA/AF(memory intensive) the increased memory bandwidth pulls through for the gtx. The Gtx are the faster cards though
