installed both of these items today in my gateway dx4200-09 and wow! im playing everysingle game i have at the very highest settings without a stutter. bought crysis and guess what? playin on high
 
since im playin crysis with everything on high perfectly smoothly im gonna up a setting or two at a time and see how good i can get it. doom 3 is playin ultra with highest antialiasing at 60fps
 
Well Doom 3 is a pretty old game so that might be expected. If you have a Steam account download the demo for Cryostasis. I can run Crysis on high at like 30 fps, this game ran at 15.
 
ya i just figured out how to get fps in crysis. with everything high and 2x antia at 1440x900 i get 35-42 fps on average and sometimes jumps to mid 50s.
 
i guess to some i sounded like i was braggin. sorry bout that im just glad to finally be able to play my computer games and be satisfied. i know alot of you guys rigs will murder my prebuilt :)

Haha that isn't what I meant at all, sorry. I'm just saying in case he didn't know, Doom 3 should run fine on most computers. If he really wanted to test the potential he should check out that demo. That probably just came out wrong.
 
ok thanks alot. i also downloaded the 3dmark06 and ran it. everything got 50+fps. then it went to a cpu test in the canyons and i got raped lol. .8 fps and 0. wow i think that means my cpu is garbage ha
 
I got the demo for cryostasis and i thought i could play but it was basically the game without me controling my character. Not a video it was actually the game. Looks pretty good and up there with crysis graphics wise, although the water that was being "shown-off" acts more like oil than water. But at the end it gave me my stats and i averaged 35fps at the highest settings with 1440x900 resolution. high fps of 62 and low of 25. Ran pretty smooth. But the different materials and how they act are awesome. Finally a game creator nailed fabrics and how they react to things.

Those are some great frames. Yeah I have to admit the graphics aren't that great at all, it kinda reminded me of Bioshock, only I would have to say Bioshock looked better. Hahah it's probably going into that unrealistic "real water" :P
