I have had this problem with the above card for some time and it only happens on Cod 4 and 5,
Basicaly on both games it will freeze just for a second every so often,it doesnt happen all the time but 50/50, the other problem i have is on Cod 5 if someone throws smoke and i walk into it i get this rolling graphic untill i move out of the smoke. this also happens when gas is thrown at me to.
I have tried lots of different driver version including the latest beta drivers.
Dont no if there are third party drivers i can try.
does anyone else get this to?
here are my specs

Windows 7 (64)
Gigabyte mobo
6gb ddr3
CPU i7 920
GPU GTX 295
1TB Cavalier black HDD.

Micro stutter...very popular with dual GPU cards. It's the reason I sold my 4870 X2.

Dual GPU cards are just good for benching, not the greatest for gaming. I'd sell it and buy a 5850 or 5870. Or wait for fermi but then the 295 might not be worth as much. The 295 is still worth $350-450 now, stick it on ebay to fund a 5870 which is stronger than a 295 anyway!

Only those 2 games? Because it doesn't seem like micro stuttering. I play tons of games and never get microstuttering. Are you playing online? Could be your firewall, I've seen games where the firewall needs to allow the game or else in stutters. Happened to me with empire total war.

he is buying a 5970 in a few days time, i was going to be buying this gpu off him but ive decided to go with dx11 also...

i have known of him having these problems but i thought there would be a patch out there by now?

other people not experience this?

Actually it must be something with COD and dual GPU cards, because it played crysis just fine.

The game itself might not scale the dual gpu's well, I dunno. Perhaps 5970's don't suffer from this issue for some reason beyond my knowledge.

It is only the cod games it happens on, ever other games playes great all maxed out.
I will try exiting my Anti-Virus (AVG)
And ill post back what happens.
