Hey guys,
i currently have a GTX 460 mb graphics card, and could possibly pick up a BFG Physx 128 MB card cheap to go along side it,would it make much of a diffrence?

I do play games that have Physx such as Metro 2033 and Batman AS ;) and BC2.

probably not. if you have an extra slot, give it a try :good: but i don't think it'll make much of a difference (if any at all).

Oh i found out They are no longer supported by the NVIDIA PhysX drivers so forget the Physx card.

However how about if i buy a ASRock N7AD-SLI motherboard (£50) and use my 460 and an 8800GT for dedicated Physx?

Is going from a Intel P45 chipset mobo which i have now to a NVIDIA® nForce 740i SLI Chipset a huge downgrade?

only my current mobo does not have 2 Pci-e slots :/

which p45 do you have? i would probably say it would either be an equal trade up or a downgrade. it would be much more worth it to save up for a better board with 2+ pci-e lanes (in my opinion, others may disagree there).

for the 8800gt, it would work and you'd probably see some fps increase. but i don't think it would be worth it to get a board with an old socket.

Sorry,Its an Asus P5Q SE.

As for getting another motherboard,i know its an old socket but there really isnt any reason for me to upgrade to any other platform right now as what i currently have eats through everything i do so...i just thought as been as i have a 8800GT lying around i could put it to some good use.

hey mate, nah i was never gonna sell it anyway...i like to have spare backup parts lying around,i still have some DDR2 ram,P35mobo,C2D processor etc :D
hell i even still have my socket A system in the wardrobe :D

I realy want to try out dedicated Physx though,il probably just end up buying another LGA 775 with 2x Pci-e slots.

i have a asus p5n32 sli premium motherboard here with me spare.

supports full x16 in sli mode, will run all 1066mhz cpu's and with bios update will run 1333mhz cpu's..

all i have is the board and backplate so if you ever want it for cheap ill sell you it no problem
