gtx 460 sli vs 560 ti

Getting a new Graphics card, have a question:Would 2 460s 1 gb in sli be better than a Zotac amp oc 560 ti?Any reccomendations under $200 would be nice, even if its 2 $100 gpus.
 
Yes, two 460's will be faster then one OC'ed 560.

I woudnt get two $100 GPU's, I would go for one $200 GPU's. Yes, two $100 GPU's would be faster then one $200(Not by much), but, one $200 GPU would leave you room to SLI two bigger GPU's down the road.

EDIT: Single GPU solution, $200 or less = 6870. Daul GPU solution, $100 a piece = 6770/550.

You could probably find a 560ti @ or under $200 if ya just look around, find a sale or something. Which if you did, the 560ti would = better.

Although most do, some games still dont support SLI or crossfire, i beleive skyrim for example doesnt, in that case you would be looking at the performance of a single 460.

For less than 200 bucks, I'd probably recommend a Radeon HD 6870 such as this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150521 I know two 460s would probably be faster than a single 6870, but as mentioned earlier not all games utilize multi-GPUs and it's always beter to get one 'bigger' card than two 'smaller' ones, just in case you want to add another 6870 down the line.
 
Eeeekks, I really dont want an amd card unless the performance is like 20% better, I want nvidia, and I think I will get a 6XX card, it depends on the price.
 
The 6870 is faster than it's NVIDIA competitor, the 'plain' GTX 560 (not the Ti). It's not much faster though, so maybe a 560 would be for you?
 
When are you planning on buying? They should all be here soon, probably in about a month's time...
 
Yeah you may as well wait for Kepler then. Just see what's available at the time and get the best price:performance card.

Well the XFX 6870 DualFan BlackEdition is a good GPU. Allows higher OC and the stock cooling is good. But any AMD 68xx, 69xx 78xx or 79xx are really awesome cards. If you want a single card performing the 460 will play most games on Ultra but a 56oti 448Core is a better choice if you can afford it.

A xfx double d is a awesome card, but I was going to get a stock oczotac amp 560 ti. But I have a feeling that a $200 nvidia card that comes out will trample the $250 7850.
