OK, i need some help...I am in the midst of going out and buying a video card. However, i have come across a real debate! The choices are...

HD 5850 or GTX 460 or GTX 470...I would say the 5770 but i am only going to be playing starcraft 2 and dont need a CRAZY card...

And on TOP of that, which one do i choose from newegg?

The only 2 choices that people are saying are...

People are saying to go with EVGA because they have a lifetime warranty and that they are the #1 provider for Nvidia. But do i give up on the 5850? I will NOT be overclocking it...atleast right away. So i just want whats best to plug in and go. Thanks in advance.

Well, the 5770 would be the lowest performer out of those you listed, so unsure if that was sarcasm or not. The 5770 itself would play sc2 fairly well, but out of the three you listed for options, I vote Nvidia GTX 460 1GB. Nice price/performance right now, and considerably better than the 5770.

Either GTX460/ 5830 or 5850.
GTX 470 is too hot.

Regarding to your lifetime warranty, I don't see it necessary if gigabyte already provide 3 years. 3 years down the line, there will be better card.

GTX460 1gb. Get the factory overclocked version and it's as strong as a 5850 for cheaper, plus it's Nvidia :P

I like ATI more, but you best option would be a the GTX460 1gb for sure (not the 768mb one, those are 192bit & 24 rop units only, the 1gb ones are 256bit & 32 rop units). If you are going to OC, definitely the gigabyte one which comes with 2 larger fan's w 2 copper heat pipes. 2, it comes with after burner w/ voltage tweak, ferrite choke, lower RDS mosfet, solid cap, doubled copper layer within PCB (2oz copper PCB), reduced voltage ripple, power switching loss lowered by 30%-10%, and it has tier 1 samsung/hynix memory.
That was my quick list, but here is a quick list in general which I copied from the gigabyte site on why you should get a GTX460 1GB (in general) over any other card.
1. Powered by NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 GPU
2. Integrated with 1024 MB / 256-bit GDDR5 video memory
3. GIGABYTE WINDFORCE™ cooling design
4. GIGABYTE Ultra Durable VGA High Quality Components
5. Supports Microsoft DirectX 11 and OpenGL 4.0
6. NVIDIA SLI Ready
7. NVIDIA Pure Video HD technology & 3D Vision Surround Ready
8. Supports NVIDIA PhysX / CUDA technology
9. Features Dual Link DVI-I*2/ mini-HDMI 1.3a connector
10. 5.5% better performance than standard HD 5850
11. 15% better performance than standard HD 5830
12. 4x the DX11 tessellation performance of HD 5830
