GTX 900? What?!

So even tho I ordered the gtx 780 I can still change this! So what I've read everyone is telling that the 970 and 980 will be released by the end of this week. Should I wait? I mean maybe I can get a 980 instead of a 780 or if the price of the 780 Ti comes down I can get one... Any opinions?
 
from what ive read they're supposed to be faster than the gtx 780ti thats for the gtx 980 and use less power but this is only leaked information. I think there about to come out pretty soon in the next few weeks. But it depends how much they are going for. if there going for £300-£400 then yeah ill be getting one but as there are no current prices no one knows how much nvidia will charge for them.

to be honest if you are definatly going to buy one then cancel the gtx 780 and buy a gtx 960,970 or 980. But then again when they come out the last batch of cards may drop in price substantially (760, 770, 780/ti etc) so untill they are released its quite hard to say what will be the best choice.

I've seen the R9 AMD Graphics cards, what do you guys think of the Sapphire Radeon TRI-X R9 290? I think it will do the same as the gtx 780 for less( if you don't know what it was meant to do: max out Arma 3, Arma 2,Titan Fall,DayZ SA,Rust at 1080p) So yeah if everyone tells me to wait for the Nvidia cool but if you guys tell me to go crazy with the 290 I will :D

if your going between the r9 290 or the gtx 780 go for the r9 290. It is slightly better performing and cheaper at £299 on overclockers. Also some impressive cooling. It would play all those games at 1080p. but its up to you, untill the gtx 980 comes out theres no way to compare the true costing and performance.
 
I'd just wait until the new line is out and compare then. If you rush it now you may make a decision you regret.

Where did you find info about the 900 series?

from what ive seen so far its shown as $599 or £370. if this is the true price when it comes out then ill be selling my 770 and buying one :D. But to be honest wait untill they are released and see the true price as you can see from benchmarks its shown as faster than the 780ti. if it is £370ish for the extra £70 odd its well worth for big performance over the r9 290 if the performance and price is correct. i cant see it being so cheap though but you never know. So yeah id wait untill it comes out and make your decision then. Dont rush into a decision and regret it later.
