Need a power plant to power those. Do those cards intake air from the back or something because I don't know how the cooling works with the middle card. I guess if you can afford those you probably could afford water cooling. It sure would help.

More than just the middle card will get toasty, so will the top. I mean there is literally millimeters for those to draw air in through, my bet is the middle and top one dont last all that long.

doesnt the card have a hole in it like the 9800x2 have?

sorry that was the only picture i could find of the 9800x2 with out its case on and in view of its gap in the gpu
why dont they have all there 3 way sli gpus like this? so the middle gpu can get some air lol

if it doesn't have a gap in the card then well where is it gonna get air?

First off, the 9800GX2 is two 8800GT's in SLI (Two PCB's with the SLI Bridge), but one card... That hole you can see, if so that the one fan it has can blow air onto both of the cards.

The 9800GTX, is one card. It's an overclocked 8800GTS 512. It draws the air just like any other card does; With the fan (see very first picture) ;)

wheee.. and another new card wich will consume yet again more power than the one before that.. they try to make cpu's and motherboards (and even RAM) to consume less power,.. yet its the opposite trend with grafic's :s

actually from what i've been reading it consumes less power than the 9800gtx... which isnt saying much, but at least its not getting much worse
