GTX460 SLi

This is what I'm hoping to get. First I'll get just one and then save up for a second one larter. But my question is: What is the cheapest PSU that will run this card in SLi? I'm on a tight budget. I have enough for the card alone but need a new PSU to go with it and will only have about £50/60 or maybe a little more for a new PSU to eventually run this card in SLi.

Thanks in advance.

Note: I posted this is this section & Video Cards section because I guess it applies to both.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207001&Tpk=xfx 850 $150 with a $20 mail in rebate deff worth the money, the PSU is something you do not want to skimp on. I did and it busted my system. If i were u i would save up £120 and make sure you get the proper PSU to run the cards and not to rush anything.

as recommended to me by others in my thread, its a sick PSU. heres the review - http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=165

the GTX 460's require 24 amps on a 12 volt rail so thats 48 amps give or take if u have 2, the XFX has 70a on their rail so thats plenty for those 2 bad boys.

have fun.

I would assume since he is using the british pound symbol that he is in the UK, and therefore cannot purchase from newegg. However, i 100% agree with the XFX black edition units, based off of seasonics M12D platform, a platform with the lowest ripple i have seen on a consumer power supply yet.

This is about as cheap as you'll get for a unit that will SLI those:

Although i'd go for one of the following:

Thank you. I was looking at the XFX PSU's and they look really good for the money so I will probably just go for that. Thanks again

Yeah, your basically getting a seasonic unit for ~20-40% less than what seasonic themselves charge for the unit.
