have jus reinstalled XP on our PC thats connected to a Printer, and the router via Ethernet. my PC is also connected by ethernet. i want to print on the printer connected to the other PC. can see the other PC in network neighbourhood but when i click on it, i get a Password question? i dont know whats this PW is. on the other PC i can just click on My 1 and get access to my files?!? how can i get rid of this question?

ive never heard of having to enter a password to access the files on a networked PC, make sure that file and printer sharing is actually enabled on the other PC, and then set it to share the printer, hopefully that should help.

that happened on one of my pcs, it did not have file sharing enabled and i was asked for a password when i tried to access on another pc, but once file sharing was enabled i was able to access it

Ive had that...duno why...the password (and username) was that of the computer i was accessing.

All of a sudden it was gone again one day though...
