Guides on computer hardware

I pretty much know the basics, like how ATI 8800 is the same for ATI 9800 but its newer, or how 1TB is huge and un needed, but 500 GB is only half that, even how to put the computer together... but im a Sh*tty shoper for good parts, like wtf is the differnce between the cache and the accual speed?

Im clue-les on some of these things, and i was wondering if there were any guides i could get online for free and read up on

Read around a bit on the forums and you can pick up a bit. Oh, and check out Tom's Hardware (www.tomshardware.com). Read a few articles there and you can learn quite a bit.

Why is 1TB un-needed? I have 1.8TB and wouldnt do it any other way. I have tons of music and movies so i need the storage.

1 terrabyte is hard to fill unless your downloading cracked softwares from the interwebs which is a no-no
