Guitar Hero for PC any good?

I currently have the PS2 version of GH and have been an avid GH player since the first one. But I'm getting tired of the red SG (only way to play with no lag), and I don't want to drop hundreds of dollars for a 360 just for one game. I don't really play other games, anymore, other than some PC games.

Then it finally occurred to me. Since my PC is decent, why not play GH on it? But I've played it on the PS3 and Wii, and both had some lag issues and glitches, so it's making me hesitant.

Since the PC version is wired (via USB), assuming my computer specs are decent, will it be worth it to get World Tour on the PC instead of the PS2?

According to your setup, it should fine with graphics on low. I played GH on a 7900GT and it would lag a little with graphics on med but haven't played it with my 9800GT yet :)

Wow, my system will only get me low settings? Isn't the 9600GT a lot better than the 7900GT?

How graphics intensive can it be for a bunch of moving circles? Heck, even the PS2 can run it well, albeit without some of the cool effects.

Well then the graphics would be fine on medium. The thing is, timing is everything in GH right? So any lag whatsoever is unacceptable.
