I practically have ripped my eyes out over this game...

The amount of hackers are ridiculous!

To be totally honest about the game... Yes it's good - for a free game. I like the way you can dress your character and make them your own, but don't you find some points about the game really annoying?

1, Hackers... How many people have to ruin the game for others? Well, it seems every other server I go on, someone is either hiding in a wall, or throwing 50 thousand grenades at once! Yes, that's right, people cheat and make the game miserable for other people. Why should I have to put up with that?

2, Ping/Lag... Whenever you have a good ping, everyone else seems to have the crappiest ping ever! Ok, so I do admit that some people I play against have good pings etc, but the majority have really high pings. So when you fight them, you either empty out all your ammo clips and your stuck with a sword. You then stab him to death, only they don't die?? "Why, oh God!! WHY??" you ask? Little do you know the guy has a ping of 752 and every thing you use to hurt him has no effect (same experiences with hackers who never seem to die, yet have high kills).

3, Unrealistic... So when you are in a good server, most have good pings, you think that you're going to have a good game. Wrong. I can empty my whole gun's ammo into someones stomach, and nope, they're not dead. You then later die from having no ammo... And then when you respawn, you put a few bullets in someone else and they die immediately, and that annoys me even more!

Then, you go into Virgin Megastore, see BF2 and buy it. Suddenly all the above seem to have disappeared. The fact that Gunz Online is free is mainly the only reason I like(d) it.

Anywho, to put all that to one side, I think the people who made this game deserve a pat on the back. Every game has it's own issues, just some have more than others.

Afterthe new patch came out I havent seen 1 Hacker and thats been about week. Yea theres alittle lag on the server that are 1990+/2000 but it seems tobe ok as long as your video cards not causing your own personal lag.
 
When was the last time you played GunZ Rambo? They constantly update it, when I was playing months ago I ran into very few hackers. If I joined a game I didn't like, there were hundreds of other servers to pick from.

The reason it's "un-realistic" is because everyone has different armor. Some people choose less armor so they can run faster, which makes killing them easier if you can hit them. Others wear lots of armor, and you can unload all your ammo and they are still alive by a hair, but they aren't as fast. Really that's actually quite realistic, the armor/clothing weight slows you down. But if you're running around naked you're fast, but a few shots kills you.
 
Yea I love this game my only problem is my Video Card and I am buying a new one within the next week.

Lag was the biggest problem with this game, or even getting connected. I never seemed to have any problems connecting with my wireless connection. But lots of people couldn't get it to work, or had the 999ping error if they did connect. I think with the latest patches they have really improved comaptibility however. I can't wait for a new PC so I can start playing againl

anyway my name is 'Tremendae' and I'm level 10
 
It was supposed to be November of 2005 last I heard, but like every game it got pushed back. Anyone know about the forums? I used to post alot in them, have been down for months from what I hear.
