Hello everybody, I currently use dell and other computers but i would like to build my own computer. This is what I am looking for:

Fast processor, fast web browsing, 1tb of hard drive but it must be a fast hard drive. Also, i want my computer to run super smooth when i am on google earth. This will be a stand alone computer. I already have a hdmi 24" monitor. My budget is roughly $1000 I want my computer to be quiet. Should run cool.

I would like to see if you guys can give me mother board recommendations? CPU recommendations? should i go Intel i7 or AMD would be ok for me? how much and what type of ram? 8GB? 16GB or more? What kind of video card should i get? are on board video cards any good?

I am not in to video games. This computer will be more for web browsing, google earth, watching videos and using multiple large size databases and excel sheets.

I have a google fiber 1gig connection.

Thanks guys !

Google Fiber? You don't happen to live in the KC area do you? :p

Something like a i5 7600k would be a good play, I'd take a look at Ryzen but it doesn't have any integrated graphics, although you can throw in an add-on fairly cheaply.

What kind of RAM quantity and utilization do you have now? Otherwise the specs you listed don't really require anything crazy.

You don't need to spend $1000.
But if you want to spend that much, no one stop you.
