H2 Test W

Hi folks,

I know absoloutely nothing about computers, gig, ram and all the rest of it, so please be patient :)

Now, I plan to retail 32gb usb flash drives, and SDHC cards. I don't want to rip anyone off, and plan to make a long term business out of this. What I want to do, prior to offering anything for sale, is to be sure the goods are what I've been told they are.

As we speak, Im running an H2 Test W test on a USB flash drive, but its been going for like 4 hours, and it's still showing another 4 hours.

My question is simple, is there some other (much quicker!) software/procedure that I could use to check the drives.

All help is much appreciated. Many thanks

Alistair

From my experience when USB flash drives or any flash memory are having problems they simply cease to work. If you plug the device in and the computer cannot detect it the device has gone bad.

I think you should plug the drive in and copy about 1 gigabyte in test files over to the device. Then safely remove the device and physically unplug the flash memory and then reconnect. If the flash memory retains the data I would say that is an adequate test that the flash memory drive is working correctly.
