Hacker help?

Hey all, some guy recently on Ps3 told me he was going to hack me and sent me a weird message with some weird symbols in it (I didnt open his messages obviously).
However, I've been lagging bad ever since then and my internet has been very slow. It will be fine and then out of nowhere it slows down to almost a halt.

Is there any program to see what IP address I connect to on my Ps3? I'm hard wired, so I figured I'd be able to.
I want to be able to see who I'm connecting to so I can avoid something like this happening again, and incase I run into this guy, so I can report him to his ISP.

About the only thing you can do is unplug your modem for 30 seconds and plug it back in, this should give you a different IP address. If you are behind a router you should be able to see a list of mac addresses that are connected to your router. You might have to contact sony with the persons user name and have them look into it.

I've tried that and I can't, my IP always stays the same. It only changes like once every 4 or 5 months. Is there any way I can go into my router and see what connections there are?

You should be able to. What router do you have? All routers are different on where to find this information.

Well my sister connects wirelessly with her laptop and phone, so I think thats why I cant change my IP. My router is a Ubee.

Your sister connecting wirelessly has nothing to do with not changing your IP. Your wan IP should be changed each time you unplug your modem because not many providers provide static IP's. You can change your internal lan IP at any time my manually setting one in your tcp/ip settings.

I've talked to my ISP before about that and they said I wasn't able to (or I think one time even told I was allowed to) because I have wireless connections and my IP is static and those connections would have to be set up again since the IP would be changed.

The router will just give out different IP addresses if you change yours. You can always put yours high like if your dhcp server is 192.168.1.1 then you can set your static to 192.168.1.150. All others connecting should stay low like 192.168.1.101 -110 if you have up to 10 devices attached to the network.
