hacking an encrypted file with system restore?

I just got done encrypting some files when I thought of something. Couldn’t someone access the encrypted file by simply going to system restore and restoring the computer to a date in between the time in which the files were created and the time in which the files were encrypted? If so how do I prevent this? Is there a way to delete restore points?

ummm... i'm not sure on this but let's see. i read somewhere that file changes are not taken back to a previous state with system restore, only system files. i think it mostly deals with the registry. i think i read that when i did a system restore myself.

System Restore does not store any personal files you may have on your computer. It only handles system files. Read up on
System Restore. Somewhere in there it will tell you that data files will remain untouched.

also, there would of had to of been a system restore point created in between the small time of the file being created and the file being encrypted
