Half dead

Hi,

I recently moved my desktop and after reconnecting everything I have lost all the built in USB's and wireless abilities:confused:

Thinking that drivers or some such may be dated I have downloaded the latest versions of everything I could find but nothing worked.

The computer has a Gigabyte X79S-UP5-wifi mother board, 64 gig of 2400 ram, an I7 2011 processor and overall works well including the USBs on the front of my machine, but all the rear USB's are inoperative....and as it stands I'm worried that I am going to accidently disconnect the system when it's backing up onto an external HDD as every thing is connected via the front 4 USB's.

Any thoughts

Thanks

Its most likely that you have the motherboard shorting out on the case. When you built this system did you use the brass standoffs between the case and motherboard?

still half dead

Thank you Guys for your responces, Yes I did use brass standoffs with washers (shims) of whatever, and the device manager reads clear on all devices - there are no exclamation marks, question marks, different colour fonts to indicate a problem of any sort.

Thanks again
