Half Life 2 Game Engine and Vista

Have any of you who play CS:S have issues with the game "crashing" after you have quit playing. For example on my laptop, I can load the game, play as much as I want, but when I quit and am back at my desktop, I get an error message from Windows saying that there was a problem with the Half Life 2 Game Engine and it was forced to shut down. Then it gives me the option of going through the steps in order to find the issue which doesn't help at all. I've tried a few "fixes" but no go, I still get the "error". It's just annoying to me, anyone have any insight?

Yeah its a weird bug I used to get randomly. Switched to windows 7 and I barley see it now. I still see it, but rarely. It happens when you quit the game, so just hit no you don't want to send a report and leave it at that. Send a bug report through steam if you want something done(haha).

That's the strangest thing. I was wondering why this happens. I have a huge "error list" now with all the occurrences of this happening, it's ridiculous. :) Glad to hear I'm not the only one though.

I've had that issue since I went to Vista (but I love Vista and have had zero other issues) with every Source game.

I've always just ignored it though.

Since I started to run Windows 7 instead of Vista the problem has gone away. (I probably just jinxed myself just then)

Yeah i got this issue too,But not so much as the game just compleatly freezing during in the middle of gameplay like it usuauly does in Left 4 dead.

Its been like this for months,I think its either driver problems or Steams latest updates.
