so i played this game for a while and then got a new hard drive. none of the saved games were anywhere to be found on the c drive where the game was installed. do they save to steam or something? i can't find them. is there anyway to use a cheat or something to upload to a specific level? i don't want to start over.
 
The games are stored in the Steam game folder. This is the target for HL2 EP1 using my Steam name: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\geoff5093\half-life 2 episode one\episodic\SAVE

If it's too late, you can skip levels and go to a new one by typing in "changelevel xxx" into the console, where xxx stands for the level.
 
if you skip levels do they give you the weapons you had before or the weapons you should have at that point?
 
To get the console to work, you need to go options -> Keyboard -> Advanced -> Enable developers console. It's something like that.
 
I used to create a Counter-Strike server and turn cheats on. I'd go around spewing blood and body parts everywhere... I think that was impulse102 or something. I don't remember. Fun though.

103. i hate it when the admin turns gravity to 10 then while everyone's in the air, changes it to 999. what an immature admin. everyone started complaining to him, that we wanted a normal game.
