Half-Life 2

I finally had gotten Half-Life 2 installed in my computer and plays good for the most part. From time to time when I come to a scene like when the trains are running the game kind of sputters and spurts and skips like a record or CD. I disable everything when I play it but doesn't help. Is there a patch or anything to download to help this?

What kind of system are you running?

You could look on the developers site. You could also get the newest drivers for either ATI or Nvidia based on what card you have. It could also just be becuase you have a very slow system that can't run it. But I dont know yet.

It's a Gateway and running windows xp. I am really new to this and never get computer games and have a PS2. I don't want to sound dumb but how would I update my drives for my card?
Thanks for the help.

1. What kind of CPU, GPU, and how much RAM do you have?

Try downloading CPU-z (google it) if you dont know how to find out

2. I dont know what card you have but based in any case you would go to either ATI or Nvidias website and download the latest ones.
