Basically, valve is charging sixty for the whole shabang, and probably not focusing on graphics and physics enhancement, either.

The "Big Question": Will there be a traditional half life four? Will it too be split up? Or will it just end with three?

I dont quite see your point, it was known from the start that the episodic releases were basically 3 little extensions to half-life 2... And you saying "and probably not focusing on graphics and physics enhancement, either." Well of course they wont be furthering the development any more, they are building on the steam engine ontop of the half life 2 game. They aren't going to redesign the entire game textures and files for 3 little releases.

I might add that the info surrounding valve charging for the entire "pack" of the episodic releases has been around for a very long time.

Also, i don't quite understand your reasoning behind "The Big Question: Will there be a traditional half life four?" I don't see how this is a big question, because it has a small answer... NO, and how is that traditional in any way?

The Half-Life Series is set to be drawn to a conclusion and a big finale in the third episode, but judging by the time taken for valve and steam etc... to get episode 2 out (was originally planned for this Xmas but that never happened... now its Q2 2007)
