Does anyone know why my computer lags when I play multiplayer on it? I mean when I played the campaign. It runs great. Does anyone know how to choose the server from Halo east, west, North or south. Something like that. Like steam. Please let me know. I mean when I do the system requirement stresstest thing for games. I passed everything though.

Join a game with really low ping would help. I have noticed this lag also, use grenades!

I agree with Motoxrdude, look for a low ping server...alot of the servers on Halo are people just hosting a game on there pc. Isnt the best, I tend to look for games with a clan or dedicated server next to there name :P . Failing that start your own game.

On a side note have you ever played Halo CE? I've not played that in a while i might go have a go. :)

It's a question. I was asking have you played Halo CE? :)

well look at the title it says halo combat evolve so i am assuming that when you put CE you mean combat evolve and then that would mean yes he has played it.

No Halo CE is custom edition, where you can use homemade maps, such as Halo 2 maps :)

Halo CE doesnt have many servers though.

As for the lag, most likely its because your on a server with high ping. Try sorting the list of servers by lowest ping.

The amount of servers you see depends on the amount of maps you have (and if that server is using it at the time) if it is running a map you dont have, then you dont see the server. ;) .

I have a few hundred maps so normally see quite a few.

I play on a server which is located in the US East Coast and I get like a 45 or lower ping. Its great.

In CS there is a filter option, but in Halo, all you do is click on the ping tab on the server list and it will sort it by ping #, so just choose a low one, and usually the lower ones are the ones closest to you.
