I have installed the Halo game in my Windows 8 PC without any issues and now when I try to run the game it says I need to have the direct x 9b version installed but I already have the latest direct X version which is around 11 now. What should I do with this problem now? How to make the game work?

11 includes everything from previous iterations, so SHOULD have 9.0b as well, however it can't hurt to try installing the 9.0c runtime
