Wow that many times? Hehe [/troll]

  • Suggestions: Change controller layout to boxer
  • Sensitivity range: 3-5
  • Sprint is probably the best power-up in the game, despite it's non-flashiness.
  • You might not think you're doing it, but charging, both at an enemy or at an enemy's spawn, is the worst thing you can do. Try intentionally taking the inconvenient routes to the enemy. And if you start running straight at the guy who's shooting you (honestly) turn around, run away, try again using strafes.

first of all it's not a fact; it's your opinion. my favorite in the franchise is Halo 2.

i can't stand how Halo 3 visually performs. i know it runs at the same frame rate as Reach, but reach is so much more vivid, fluent, and smooth. the difference is that Reach was specifically designed to run at 30 fps, whereas 3 was originally supposed to run at 60 fps but was then dropped to 30.

the gameplay is great, but the game overall was far from perfect.

I have and always will love Halo 2. It's just like Vice City, it's one of those games I'll always enjoy. I think Halo 3 was good, I liked it, but I'm kind of glad they built up to Reach, instead of making turning Reach into Halo 3. I think they did very well with Reach for it being their last game. Hell, it dethroned MW2 on the 360.

I would stay away from boxer layout, if anything use bumper jumper but its very hard to use jetpack with bumper jumper.

Also i think DMR is terrible and some of the weapons are just way OP but i play strategically i will not rush someone by myself

I disliked the DMR too when I first started playing. But I played quite a bit of SWAT, and I actually ended up liking it and use it quite a bit now.

the DMR is sexy. chances are you're shooting it too fast, wait until the reticule resets to fire another shot (the further the target, the slower it should be shot). also crouching will drastically reduce recoil and tighten up the spray pattern.

Completely agree. I hated seeing everyone on MW2 after it came out and the few people playing Halo 3 were just playing Infection (nubs).

Play a few games of SWAT and don't use the scope. You'll find that the difference between the BR and the DMR are manageable.
You can't do much with Bumper Jumper ... that's why Boxer is the best alternative. Default's objective completion stuff (like flag-running) is terrible.

Huge +1

Instead of crouching or waiting, I just find a small bit of cover to strafe to the right and left of to get the reticule to reset. Works real well if you're accidentally shooting a decoy.

Ugh, that's worse than camping. I mean yeah, it gets you the kills and "you're the boss" if you do it. But everyone else is hating you and the game. Its like in halo3 when you could run and throw the flag to travel faster. Sure its technically allowed, but its really a glitch and you're being a dick to other players. And as soon as Bungie knew of it they fixed it.

Also DMR is dah best, how can anyone NOT like it. Even in the beta it was the best, I don't understand you people. :P

yea but crouching literally increases the guns accuracy.. try it out in matchmaking, i guarantee you'll notice a huge difference, especially long range shots.

plasma pistol full charge hit them then one shot to the head with that nedaler/sniper thingy and they die.. simple..

What's worse than camping? The decoys or my strategy? And when did Bungie fix flag-running? It's still around, even odd-ball fumbling is still used. And sometimes the things that you think are bugs to be removed (like flag-running) are things that make games what they are. Like Quake didn't intentionally incorporate strafe-jumping until Quake Live.

Oh, of course. It's just that I'm still getting used to switching from Bumper Jumper to Boxer and crouching is just one more thing I have to do while figuring out the controls. I'll incorporate crouching when I'm able to.

Use complete sentences... I think you're telling me my technique is bad, but there's no way I can be sure. (even though I end every game with like +10, even in Arena.

SWAT takes skill!! Especially in Reach. Halo 3 took less skill because you could be 'immune' to kills from behind by being an Elite and BRs could spray a target's head easily. If I see you first in 8/10 fights in Team Slayer, I'll win them, and the same applies to SWAT.

And I can't seem to find your gamertag. Again: Sc0tt a l0t (those are zeroes)

haha xD i killed some dude with armor lock twice(split screen) vs ghost :P (noob at halo reach) :P

I do stuff like that (like I'm the dude in the ghost)

I charge at some guy that doesn't seem to want to try and dodge me and then my mind goes like this:

"hehe... dude's gonna get owned"
"waiiiit, why isn't he moving?"
"something's up.. whoa WHOA WAAAIT STOP!!!"

His screen: Killjoy!

yea i already looked you up thats why i posted my KD ratio for halo 3 and reach, i actually have a couple accounts that the ratio is over 3 but they were just 1 months i was messing around on
