i narrowed it to mainly two laptops. i have decided that HP would probably work the best for me, factoring where i can buy it and price and its uses etc.

idk, the second one is newer but they are mostly the same. the main difference is the processor type, AMD Turion 64 X2 vs. Intel Core 2 Duo
which processor is better? which computer would you overall recommend?

those links do not work, get a core 2 duo intel is always better. If your just gonna be surfing the web and such just get the cheapest you can.
 
HP! Yeah, HP is good, oh, and the other one doesn't work so I guess it doesn't give other viewers much choice but to choose the HP (good marketing)!
