Handheld for ebooks

Hi,

Anybody has any recommendations for a cheap handheld computer/PDA/whatever it's called?

I just need something to read ebooks with, grayscale or B&W, low power consumption. The ones listed on eBay seem too outdated to be reliable.
 
what is ur budget specifically?

ebooks isn't anything special. its just the program that runs in the hardware allowing ebooks to be read.

along with the ebook, is there anything else u might want with it? like music playback, any extra things?
 
No, just need a device that could display text. No music playback, no special functions, just straight text. Looking for something less than $200, low power consumption.
 
Well, I have a Sony Clie PEG-SJ20-- it's something like four years old already and haven't had any issues with it that I hadn't caused myself.

I also have a couple SJ30s-- the color version of the SJ20-- All of them purchased off eBay for less than $80ea.

Throw in a memory stick and you'll be reading for months.
