I'd spend the money upgrading my pc. PS3 vs Xbox, just get the one which has the games you prefer. I love halo, so i bought xbox.

Ps3 without a doubt....dont want to start a PS3 vs 360 war here but its quite obvius...

PS3 has Blu-Ray,free online....not paid for subscription like greed microsoft wants you to pay for.

Xbox has more games, better online community, more downloadable content.

PS3 has BluRay and can use F@H... big deal.

PS3:
Free online, Folding at Home, Blu-Ray, Toslink Optical Out without requiring an adapter, Motion Sensitive Controllers(some may like this fact), an excellent media extender, has a web browser, the older "fat" ones can run linux, can use bluetooth headsets, need i go on?

Exactly yes imo,You cant realy compare them to each other....its just PS3 win all the way with all its features etc.

Also id suspect that the PS3 is way way more reliable than a 360....i mean still to this day im hearing of people having to return their 360s because of RROD.

I know the ps3s can fail in sort of the same way with the yellow light of death but you dont hear of it as often as 360s RROD.

At the moment...the only thing i see good about the 360 i the price, you can get one for £100 or so now,But id still rather put that towards a PS3.

please do :D

or i will:
ps3's hard drive can be upgraded without having to pay outrageous prices, RROD, psp remote play(if you have one), built in wireless

also the "ps3 move" or whatever it is going to be called is coming out soon

The PS3 also has built in wireless.....the 360 does not, again something else you would have to pay for extra for the 360!

Really depends on the types of games you like. We had all 3 (Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3), which my son mainly played (they all ended in his bedroom). Ended up selling the PS3 because he hardly used it, and the games he liked were all PS2 games. It was the original style of PS3, so it had something (backwards compatability or ?) the newer don't have.

To be honest, they are all great. The only downside for me was that it uses bluetooth (wii as well) instead of IR, so universal remotes won't work with them.

hmm.. looks like ps3 has a good thing.. hmm might get one...think there like $500 ay

Dunno how much they are in Aussie land but over here they are....

£269 for the 250gb slim
£249 for the 120gb slim

I remember them been £400+ at release

Why do you want a console that has everything your PC has? If you're an intense, competitive gamer who wants to find the best of the best, you're not gonna find the answer on PSN.

I used to have a 360, 2 RROD consoles was enough for me to switch to PC. Bought a first gen PS3 that lasted for a year and then fried my inputs and had major power issues, took it apart so it voided the warranty. Plus I can't stand using a controller, mouse and keyboard all the way. But Uncharted 1 and 2 are almost reason enough to buy a PS3, kick ass games.

Ive always seen the PS3 as the more media center-esque console and the 360 for more gaming online/community etc.

Would you rather watch bluray movies or team up with bros on xbox live?

PS3 is good. Xbox 360 has better online stuff but you have to pay subscriptions for most of it!

There's good and bad. pick your poison really...

Sadly I have to say 360. PS3 is good but the games are unpolished and they don't have as many "big" titles anymore like they use to on PS1/PS2.

Yes, in 2007, it was said that the 360 failure rate was about 33% while the PS3's was under 5%
