hard disk prob....plz help

Hi guys

How are you.

By the efforts of 5 days, i almost failed to recover this fault and came here to get help, my problem is.

Fist my computer failed to run cd-rom, it means detect cd-rom, then i opened cpu case and re inserted the wires of cd rom, it worked,

but before that i tried to solve it by bios and other chipset etc i dont know,

then after that, my cd rom, showed up, but usb detection failed,

i installed avg anti spyware and run for all harddrives, i have 40 gb harddisk, 0 gb for each, C,D,E,F, c is the windows xp drive, other 3 are for other purposes,

i run anti spyware and it deteted some kind of onlinagames names files in the last 3 drives, d, e, f and after deleting those files, my drives failed to opened,

they open by writing the respective drive name in any browser of window but does not open directly by double clicking, or one click open, it gives the option

"browse the programme by which you want to open the D:/ or F:/, or E:/"

HOW CAN IT BE BACK, usb problem is on second i will post in the respective section but plz solve this hard disk problem.

First of all, welcome to Computer Forum! If you messed with the BIOS im pretty sure it has something to do with your problem. Take out the Bios battery in the case (a small round silver battery), unplug all the cables in the back, wait 10Secs, put everything back. Load computer. Defaults should be loaded, now, you said you had 0GB in each partition??? I'm pretty sure deleting something in those drives wouldnt hurt anything, unless you mixed the drive letters up and deleted a system file. What do you mean they fail to load? no window when clicing?

I am sorry for mistake,

every drive has 10 gb and has data of up to 5-7 gb each drive, no loss.

The problem started after i ran a scan by avg antispyware, they found some"onlinegame.com" or "like so" spys or adware like thing and ask delete after reboot, then after reboot i could not opened my drives d,e,f

they open by writing d: or f: or e: in browser of windows, but directly does not open, if i double click , this message comes

choose the programme you want to open this file (and below this writter)
File D:/ OR File E:/

and does not open directly.

i think no bios or such type problem.
 
D e f is hard drives or cd drives? even so, they shoudl not come up with that thing, that is for files, not drievs.... did you reset the bios yeT? try a system rollback or something...

No No

they are hard drives

i told my hard drisk has partition in C D E F, each of 10 gb

and that is the problem hard drives says open with .....

please tell , if i draw out that silver cell , will my data in other drives lose or not ???????

No. The data will still be there. It just resets the BIOS to the defaults again so whatever you messed with in there will be gone back to before. Don't worry. The drive's partitions are probably corrupt... can you reformat them? (reformat means erase EVERYTHING). Dont reformat though !

the problem still persis, i have removed the cell but problem still persist

i have problem that my pc also not detecting usb

my universal serial bus controller

intel(r) 8280 db/dbm usb 2.0 enhanced host controller. 24cd
intel(r) 8280 db/dbm usb 2.0 enhanced host controller. 24cd2
intel(r) 8280 db/dbm usb 2.0 enhanced host controller. 24cd4
intel(r) 8280 db/dbm usb 2.0 enhanced host controller. 24cd7


but the still usb is not detectable.

i am sorry this s nor usb problem section but u said erase all data from drive then problem may solve, i have to search any way to store/save my data because usb drives are not working.

yes

my creations in drive D (10 GB)

my short stories, article, travelog, my humorous articles, my poetry, everything my writings and all of them are unpublished, and only in my pc, not saved to any other device and yet waiting for publish, so if i loose them, i loose almost ma life..

i try some way by network sharing and saving the data in other pc or anyother method untill the problem of usb drive solves

if usb problem solves, i have no wait to erase ma harddisks.

Plug the HDDs into another computer or put them into an external hard drive enclosure . See if you can see the drive from there. Always get a copy on the main drive and slave/backup drive.

Got another PC at your disposal? Use it to take the vital files off and save them to something else.
