Hard drive as a trusted site

I am a web page designer, and running scripts from my hard drive always makes the information bar popup. I wanted to add my hard drive as a trusted site, so the computer will always allow me to run the content on its own drive without the messages asking me. How do i do this?

Do you mean a firewall? If so, which firewall

I think he refers to the information bar that comes with SP2, which says "Do you want to run ative x controls?", or "pop-ups blocked". I believe there is a way to disable the information bar some place in the internet explorer options.

yea, the im talking about the information bar. I know that you can disable it from asking you, but i only want to disable it for my hard drive. I went to trusted sites in the security, and tried to add my C:\ drive, but it said that i had a wildcard sytax error or something. Is there another address used for homedrive so i can try using something else?

I also tried file://* , file:///C:/* and C:/*, and it didn't work.

im not entirely sure if its possible to add a local disk as a secure site, only thing i can recommend is adding the site your working on to the "safe list".
