Hard Drive Click Freeze

Hey, I was just wondering what the issue was here...for about a year now ive had this issue where something in my computer clicks (as if its rebooting) and then everything freezes..im assuming it is my harddrive..but it did the same thing with my SATA HD..actually it started with my SATA and now i switched over to ATA and its doin it again..

Its really annoying trying to burn a cd and all of a sudden I hear this click reboot sound and my whole computer freezes..then when i go to turn it on it does it again and again...I have ways of tricking it..such as switch the ram inside around then it works fine..which is weird..

Anyone able to gimme a hint on whats goin on here?

That would be Great

I'm not sure what the cause is, but whenever my computer crashes (randomly restarts, BSOD, etc), there's usually a click too...most likely it's the abrupt power cut to the harddrive, although I'm not sure. One thing is that it's almost definitely not related to the cause of the problem.

You might want to try updating all of your drivers, especially for any newly installed hardware.
