Hard drive free space does not add up.

When I open "My Computer" and check the amount of free space on my C: (main Windows Vista installed hard drive), it says I have 107GB of free space (out of the 285GB partition). However, when I open the C: and select all the folders (including hidden folders), and right click and choose "Properties", it says the total amount of space those files occupy is 124GB, meaning my C: should have 161GB remaining.
As you can see, I'm missing 54GB of space.

Any help would be appreciated,

Cheers,
Calvin

It's not that simple. You have hidden and system folders that aren't counted in that total, as well as your swap file and other temp files such as voume shadow copies that arent' included in that total when you just select folders and click properties.
