hard drive help PLZ

my download computer's harddrive is getting so small so i want a new hard drive
the one i have is Seagate (ST340016A)
my motherboard (really old): intel D845GBV

i wander wut kind of new drive i can get.. and wether or not if the mother board can support it

Im not sure about SATA (too lazy to google it :P), but im sure it supports IDE. You can get any IDE hard drive and it will work in your computer, as long as you have room and an extra IDE cable.

He doesn't need an IDE cable if there's already 2 in there (usually are; 1 for CD-ROMS, and 1 for HDD's). He just needs to make sure he doesn't already have 4 IDE devices on 2 channels.

You can get any IDE drive so long as you have 1 device spot free on a single channel. You can put it on the CD-ROM channel if you want (assuming you have 1 CD-Drive) and set it to master or slave, either is fine.

Thats what i meant to say, as long as you have an extra IDE connector.
