Hard drive help

I took out my hard drive to try it in my friends computer then put it back in and it wouldn't work. I put in my Windows cd and it came up but the message said "Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed on your computer". I think it erased my hard drive somehow cuase one time when I plugged it back in it sparked but it still did the same thing. Any Suggestions? Please help! SOS

My hard drive is an IDE not SATA but it is 80 GB
 
have you checked to make sure there are no loose connections between the hard drive and the motherboard and psu?
 
there are no wrong connections and several of us have checked them
but also it wont start normally. It starts but it doesn't read the hard drive so it just goes black at that part and stays black.
